Do you often go on a daily trips to some nice places around your city?
Unfortunately, I have to answer with "No". I always prefer going in some foreign country, because I feel like these places around me are too close and I will always have a chance to visit them. But, that is not a good thinking. Some place around us are so beautiful and we also have to learn to enjoy our own country.
I've been meaning to show you this beauty for a while now, but never got a chance. And this is only 5 minutes driving from the place I live. Isn't it beautiful? So peaceful... I just want to sit there on the rock, and listen to the water. And just enjoy in that wonderful nature that I have around my house.
Do you have some beautiful scenery around your house? Did you already visit it? If you didn't, or if you did and it was a long time ago, just pack your bag with some food and water, tell your family to sit in a car.. AND GO!! Don't tell me that you don't have time. We always have the same excuse.. but if we don't have time for this, what then are we spending our precious days on?
So, no more excuses! :) I know I want make them anymore. And you? Make me proud! Make yourself proud! Just repeat after me: It's my life and I have to live it and not only watch it!

Lovely post - such a great message! I'll get out today + see some of the beauty around here. =)
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous place and thanks for the kick up the butt I really needed that!!!

I love the scenery around my house! It's full of open fields and beautiful green swamps! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteLoved this post. With the price of gas and travel in general it is a good idea to open your eyes and look around in your own area. I post photos and blog often about Western Oklahoma, so I have to get out and take those photos...It has been a great experience!

I love it and I couldn't agree more! It's easy to take for granted all the beauty we already have around us but it's always there, just waiting to be explored! =]
ReplyDeleteThere's so much beauty in these photos, I really do love them. I've always believed that some people can get so caught up in trying to find beauty elsewhere that the real beauty can be at home, amazing.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you! Everytime I can, I travel around not only my country (Italy), but around the world. I love living this way, meet new people and learn different cultures. I also write about my travels on an Italian blog which deals with trips and so on.
ReplyDeleteWe try to hit the local places about once a week or two. What a beautiful waterfall. I hope I can use your photo for a painting reference!!

Divno ti je okruženje!
ReplyDeleteLiving in the most isolated capital city in the world you get used to finding beautiful things in your own neck of the woods. But we're constantly exploring and finding places that we've never seen ever though we've lived here all our lives.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely breaks up the weekends cleaning the house.
I am sick of city!!! looking at your pictures make me relax!!!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures look like heaven compared to my concrete jungle.

What beautiful places you live near!!!!!!!!1
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty place!
ReplyDeleteI always prefer to go abroad or to other places too, which is really stupid as I live in a beautiful place! I have been making more of an effort to see my own area lately, it's really worth it!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Those photos are gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteI love taking in my surroundings... but I need to branch out and go abroad more often!
xo
You have all that only 5 minutes away. I would definitely be there all the time. Not much to see where I live. Plus way too hot and dusty to do anything during the summer. We often travel out of country to get away from all the blah and to see green again! :) Have a great day! And thanks for stopping by. Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful view! Looks so peaceful. I would love a place like that where I could go to read a book and list to the water in the background.

That looks like a beautiful place! I think we always tend to ignore the beauty around us and look elsewhere. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful there! I think it's easy to take for granted the beautiful places that are close because we just figure that we'll get there eventually.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!!!! I'd probably hang out there way too often if it were nearby!

stvarno preeedivno! =D
ReplyDeleteThis is so true.
ReplyDeleteSometimes we forget about the beauties our country has to offer and fly elsewhere for vacation.
It's not acceptable that people that come to our country know more places than we do !
I love this place - i think you are so luck to be so close to it and to be able to enjoy it.
Istina, zato ja koristim svaku priliku za otići u prirodu:)
