In Bruges

So, we are still in Belgium, but this time we are visiting Bruges, a city completely different from Brussels. I don't think I can even describe the beauty of Bruges.

When I told my friends I was going to visit Belgium, few of them told me that I HAVE to visit Bruges. I didn't know what was all the fuzz about, but now I do. You won't find such a magical city anywhere. You will feel like you traveled to the past! It's like a fairytale!!

We came there by train from Brussels and when we started to walk around I told my husband: "The only thing that is missing here are horses with carriages".. And guess what - they do have it!

Bruges is located in the northwest of the country. Like some other canal-based cities, it is sometimes referred to as "The Venice of the North".

Of course, we have to try some famous Belgian beer while we were here. I was already pregnant, so I didn't drink it, but my husband and our friends loved it. And I loved the place! Lots of tourists from all around the world, all kind of beer, great music..

The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. I especially liked the Market square. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it was raining :(

We were there only one day, but it's not so big, so it's enough time to see everything. And would I like to go back there one day? DEFINITELY!
