89 Acts of Kindness

Have you heard about the '89 Acts of Kindness'? I heard about this girl and her noble mission few months ago and I was really inspired. It's always nice to hear stories that give you hope that there is still good people out there.

She started her page to track the 89 acts of kindness that she planned to perform in memory of her great-grandmother. She wrote updates on her acts of kindness almost every day and while she was doing that, she had more and more fans - including me! What did she do so far? She volunteered, gave food to homeless people... well, I don't want to spoil you her page, so you better check it out for yourself!

I had to share this with you, because I believe that single person can change the world! And world definitely needs some changing.

And what act of kindness did you do recently?

  12. Hi love. Besides allowing people to cut in line, I don't think I have done much lately. But that shouldn't label me as a bad person, I think. Have you heard of the Sandy Hook act of kindness? I believe it was 22 act of kindness. You should look it up if you haven't. I love the idea above.

  13. Random acts of kindness give great happiness to the receiver as well as the giver. I saw on the news last night that people are paying the check for the car behind them in line at McDonalds. What a nice thing to do.

Last winter we were shopping in the grocery store and saw a group of firefighters in line with a cart full of groceries. My husband asked them if the station paid for their food or did they pay for their own. When we found out the firefighters paid for their own groceries, he quietly went around the line to the cashier and said to her, "here's my credit card to pay for the firefighters." They were shocked when she told them their groceries had already been paid for. They wanted to know our names, but we preferred to remain anonymous.
